Animal lovers on Nantucket had a reason to smile this past Sunday as the Nantucket Island Safe Harbor for Animals (NiSHA) hosted a special dog and puppy meet and greet at its headquarters on 11 Crooked Lane. From noon to 2 pm, the public was invited to drop in, no appointment or pre-approval needed, for a chance to meet some of NiSHA’s available dogs and puppies in search of their forever homes.
