The Nantucket Police Charitable Association brought back its “Runnin’ for a Cause, Not from the Cops” 5K race over the weekend to raise money for the Nantucket community. Runners set off from the Surfside Beach parking lot, winding through a scenic course along Nobadeer Avenue, down the Boulevarde, and back up Surfside Road to the finish. In past years, funds raised from the event have supported student scholarships, youth programs, the Marla Ceely Lamb Fund, and other local organizations.
