Nantucket in bloom

There's no surer sign that summer is around the corner than the moment Nantucket's window boxes and gardens burst into bloom. After months of muted tones and bare branches, color and life are softening every corner. Daffodils and tulips led the charge in early spring, followed by the delicate pink blooms of cherry blossoms, and now the fragrant heads of peonies are starting to emerge. The island is putting on one of its finest shows of the season, and it's well worth stopping to admire.
