Healey hits Nantucket

PHOTOGRAPHY BY BILL HOENK

Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey visited Nantucket last week to tour sites related to the island’s housing and food challenges. The governor kicked off her visit with a stop at the new Wiggles Way workforce apartments on Fairgrounds Road, where she met with local officials and housing advocates to discuss expanding year-round housing. State Sen. Julian Cyr and state Rep. Thomas Moakley, the island’s representatives on Beacon Hill, accompanied her on the tour. Healey then stopped at Sustainable Nantucket’s farm stand on Hummock Pond Road to meet with local farmers and learn more about the island’s agricultural efforts.
