This year's Nantucket Garden Festival, held July 8 – 10, gave curious green thumbs a behind-the-scenes look at some of the island's most well-groomed gardens, with local pros leading the way. Greyson Keller, owner of the Garden Group, chauffeured small groups on van tours to private homes, sharing his expertise on native plants and landscape design in coastal environments. Meanwhile, Lindsay Mohr of Mohr Gardening guided walking tours through in-town gardens and harbor-facing backyards rarely seen by the public. It was all for a good cause, with proceeds benefitting the Nantucket Lighthouse School.
