In their first home game of the new season, the Nantucket High School varsity football team scored another big win on Saturday, in a non-league game against Carver High School. The Whalers recorded a resounding 35-8 victory over the Crusaders. Running back David Guillen-Taveras scored four touchdowns on the ground, with Arann Hanlon adding one more. The Whalers are next scheduled to play, at home again, on Saturday, September 20 at Nantucket High School’s Vito Capizzo Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 1:30 pm. Nantucket's True Island Radio 97.7 ACK-FM brings listeners, on island and off, the play-by-play live on-air, plus pregame, half-time, and postgame segments.
