Whalers gear up

The return of fall sports brought an unmistakable hint of autumn to Nantucket last week, as Whalers athletes took back to the fields and courts. Pre-season practices officially got underway Monday, August 24, with football, field hockey, volleyball, golf, boys soccer, girls soccer, and cross country all kicking off preparations for the season ahead. Regular season play begins in earnest after Labor Day.
