Holiday cheer swept through Nantucket this weekend as crowds gathered for the island's 51st annual Christmas Stroll, produced by the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce. The merriment and bustle began in earnest Friday, when ferries and airlines delivered steady waves of travelers eager to experience one of island's most popular events. By Saturday morning, the downtown corridor was packed with festival-goers weaving between musical performances, artisan markets, and shop celebrations, many sporting festive attire that added to the atmosphere. Local businesses reported strong foot traffic throughout the weekend, capping off the year with a welcome boost before Nantucket eases into its quieter winter stretch.
