Evergreen dreams

The Whaling Museum welcomed a full house last week as residents and visitors turned out for a preview of this year's Festival of Trees. The annual tradition, staged by the Nantucket Historical Association, fills the museum with dozens of holiday trees designed by community members, local merchants, nonprofit organizations, artists, and schoolchildren. The exhibit remains on view through the end of the month.
