Sandcastle showdown

The 50th annual sandcastle and sculpture contest returned to Jetties Beach on Saturday, July 26, drawing crowds for an afternoon of friendly competition. The event, hosted by the Nantucket Island School of Design and the Arts and the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce, featured creative entries and prize ribbons awarded by a panel of local judges.
