Nearly 700 runners turned out over the weekend for the Nantucket Half Marathon. Partly sunny skies and crisp fall temperatures set the scene for the 15th annual race, which followed a two-loop course through the Nantucket Land Bank’s Smooth Hummocks Coastal Preserve. Participants crossed sandy stretches and took in ocean views along the way, while spectators gathered at Bartlett’s Farm to cheer on runners as they crossed the finish line.
