Fête for the future

PHOTOGRAPHY BY BILL HOENK

The annual Friends Fête drew a lively crowd of artists and environmentalists to the Polpis area last week. Hosted by the Nantucket Land & Water Council and Almanack Arts Colony, the evening featured fresh seafood, cocktails, live music, and dancing under the stars. Organizers describe the event as "a bridge...between Nantucket's legacy and its future," with proceeds going towards "the next wave of environmentalists, artists, and philanthropists" committed to protecting Nantucket's land and water.
