With Monday marking the first day of fall, the first signs of the shoulder season have reached Nantucket. Temperatures have cooled, crowds have thinned, and the island's slower pace brings crisp mornings, changing leaves, golden marshes, and open stretches of beach. This time of year takes on a different feel, with community events, school sports, and the colors of autumn taking center stage.
