Bottoms up for baskets

The Nantucket Historical Association's annual summer fundraiser returned Friday evening with a refreshed name and expanded offerings. Now called Baskets, Bubbles & Bourbon, the event took place in the Hadwen House garden and celebrated the island's rich tradition of lightship basketry with craft cocktails, a bourbon tasting, and a showcase of handmade works. Collector Max Berry was honored for his longtime support, and this year's auction featured standout pieces from master artisans, including collaborations with scrimshawers and woodcarvers.
