Main Street was shoulder-to-shoulder on Friday evening as crowds turned out for the Nantucket Island Chamber of Commerce’s annual tree lighting ceremony. Families and friends bundled up in the cold to watch the downtown Christmas trees flicker to life for the season. Former President Joe Biden and his family were in attendance as usual, this time with far less security than in past years.
