Summer of seams

Nantucket Historical Association is calling this the “summer of seams,” and Saturday’s fundraiser, A Nantucket Night, brought the theme to life with a soirée inspired by centuries of island fashion and craftsmanship. Supporters gathered under a tent at Bartlett’s Farm to celebrate NHA’s featured exhibit, Behind the Seams, which showcases more than 150 pieces from the organization’s costume and textile collections. The exhibition is on display in the Whaling Museum through November 2.
