Running through the rain

More than 500 runners took on rainy, windy conditions Sunday morning for the 14th annual Nantucket Half Marathon. The 13-mile course started and finished at Bartlett's Farm, winding through Nantucket Land Bank’s Smooth Hummocks Coastal Preserve, past Miacomet Pond, and along the south shore, with sweeping ocean views. Owen Holland, 23, of Newton, Massachusetts, was the top male finisher with a time of 1:19:45, while Emily Mullins, 38, of Hingham, Massachusetts, led the women’s field in 1:26:08.
