Nantucket became one big canvas last week as artists of all skill levels set up their easels for the annual Plein Air Nantucket painting festival. Hosted by the Artists Association of Nantucket, the week-long event brought painters to scenic spots across the island, turning parks, beaches, and quiet side streets into open-air studios. A quick-paint challenge, gallery shows, and an awards ceremony rounded out the celebration of art in the great outdoors.
