Flying high for mental health

PHOTOGRAPHY BY BILL HOENK

Nantucket is home to strong and reliable mental health services and programs, in no small part thanks to fundraisers like Dragonfly. Founded in 2016 by Kate Kling, in memory of her sister who died by suicide, the annual event has raised over $1.3 million for organizations supporting mental health on Nantucket. The ninth iteration of Dragonfly was held Saturday, August 1 at Great Harbor Yacht Club, with proceeds supporting Fairwinds, Nantucket’s behavioral health center.
