Design through time

Design lovers had plenty to celebrate last week with the return of Nantucket by Design, a four-day experience benefitting the Nantucket Historical Association. The annual event, held this year from July 13-16, is billed as a "celebration of art, design, and history" that "brings together world-renowned designers, artisans, and skilled craftspeople to showcase the timeless elegance of Nantucket’s design heritage." This year’s theme was "Etched in Time," presented in dialogue with the traveling exhibition The Wider World and Scrimshaw, now on display at the Whaling Museum.
