Revving in the Rain

Yellow rain slickers proved to be fitting outerwear on Saturday for the Nantucket Daffodil Festival. Main Street buzzed with festivalgoers in the morning as they admired a colorful display of vintage cars and trucks, with convertible soft tops put into action during the heaviest rains.

Head-turning headwear

The annual hat pageant brought colorful energy to Children's Beach, with participants of all ages showing off their most creative, daffodil-inspired headwear. Some wore rain-friendly hats more suitable to the conditions, while others donned elaborate floral creations.

Pedal-powered fun

The children's bike parade was all about the little ones, with families showing off their daffodil-themed bikes, wagons, and baby carriages. No child left empty handed, with ribbons handed out to all participants.

Tailgate treats

Out in 'Sconset, picnickers braved the weather by donning rain gear and creating makeshift shelters. Crowds were smaller than previous years, but participants made the most of the soggy weather, setting up cookout stations with grills, beverages, and snacks.
